DIO5841J is highly integrated lithium ion and lithium polymer linear chargers, suitable for portable applications with limited space. The device is powered by a USB port or AC adapter. The high input voltage range with input overvoltage protection supports low-cost, unregulated adapters. DIO5841J has a single power output and can charge batteries. If the average system load fails to charge the battery during the 10-hour safety timer, the system load can be connected in parallel with the battery. The device has three stages for charging a Li-Ion battery: regulation, constant current and constant voltage. In all charging stages, IC junction temperature is monitored by the internal control loop. When the charging current exceeds the internal temperature threshold, the internal control loop will reduce the charging current. The charger power level and charging current induction function are fully integrated. The charger has high precision current and voltage regulation circuit function, charging status display, charging termination function. Trickle-charge current and terminal current threshold can be programmed by external resistance on DIO5841J. The value of constant current can also be programmed by an external resistance.
